Important Update – AEDC to continue providing support for families during sydney restrictions
Updated: 9/07/2021
From 6pm on Saturday June 26th residents living in the greater Sydney region, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong can only leave home for essential goods and services until midnight on Friday, July 16th.
AEDC provides essential services.
We understand that this is a trying time for many and we want to reassure everyone that the team at AEDC will continue to provide support for families during this period.
We want to advise our families of the following.
Early Intervention Children
Appointments will continue as usual
Parent training video consultations will be available for those who prefer not to attend the clinic in person
School Age Children
Appointments will continue as usual
Video consultations will be available for those who prefer not to attend the clinic in person
Social Skills Groups
Social distancing and other health and safety measures will be introduced
We are asking social skills group parents and caregivers to drop their children off and pick them up at reception
Your practitioner will come and collect your child at appointment start time
If you arrive early for your appointment, we are asking families to wait outside the clinic’s front door
In place of the 10-minute feedback following social skills sessions, practitioners will email families regarding your child’s progress the following day
To avoid congestion around the reception/waiting area, online/telephone payments for group sessions will continue until further notice
Face Masks
Until further notice, face masks are mandatory at Aspiration Education and Development Clinic for persons over 12 years of age.
The exception to this policy is during therapy sessions, which is in accordance with advice from the NSW Government stating that face masks are optional for students and teachers in early education settings.
If you prefer for your child’s therapist to wear a face mask during therapy sessions, please inform them prior to the session.
Reception
Only AEDC staff are allowed past the TV point in reception unless otherwise permitted
Due to social distancing, the reception area is limited to 3 people waiting
Some Things to Keep in Mind
AEDC has adopted a number of health and safety measures including the sanitising of toys and work spaces following every session
If you or your child is showing any signs of sickness in the interest of health and safety, we kindly ask that you don’t attend your appointment at AEDC until fully recovered
If you bring your child and he/she is unwell, you may be asked to take your child home until fully recovered
Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly before and after each appointment
Cover your sneeze or cough with your elbow or with a tissue
Please feel free to use the hand sanitiser located in reception
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by phone on (02) 9688 6665 or by email at reception.aedc@gmail.com.
