What ages do you see?

All ages.

Aspiration Education and Development Clinic specialises in early intervention and child psychology; however, we do provide a wide range of professional services for all age groups.

Do I need a doctor's referral to make an appointment?

No.

Referrals are not required if you would like to book a consultation with us.

However, if you wish to utilise the various government funding options, including the Medicare rebate, a GP referral is required.

How long will I need to wait for an appointment?

Initial consultation bookings can typically be made for a date within two weeks.

How much does AEDC charge for a consultation?

Fees vary depending on the components of the assessment (e.g. Psychological Assessment, Educational Assessment) therapy or general consultation.

A standard consultation is $180 – $200 per hour (below the recommended scheduled fee set by the Australian Psychological Society).

How long does an appointment last for?

Depending on your individual situation, a standard consultation will typically last for 60 minutes. Some other services, including diagnostic assessments, may go for a longer period of time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please note, if for some reason you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please keep the following cancellation fees in mind (excluding NDIS participants):

  • 0 – 24 hours cancellation notice: 90% of fee
  • 24 – 48 hours cancellation notice: 50% of fee

NDIS Participants:

For a short notice cancellation or no show (0-48 hours), AEDC can charge 90% of the fee associated with the service.

How do I get a Mental Health Care Plan?

If you want to utilise the Medicare rebate you will need to see your doctor who can write out the required plan.

Can I use my private health fund?

Yes.

We are registered with most health funds (e.g. Medibank, HCF, Bupa), who offer rebates depending on your level of coverage. Please contact your fund to find out your level of cover.

What are your fees for school visits?

For school visits and other out-call services, the following fees will apply:

  • Within 10km from AEDC: $310.00
  • 10km – 20km from AEDC: $410.00
  • Further than 20km: Please speak with reception

Do you have parking facilities?
