Registered Counsellor

Melisa Esen is a professional counsellor committed to supporting youth and young adults, particularly those with autism and behavioural challenges. Holding a Master’s degree in Counselling and being a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Melisa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.

Specialising in emotional regulation skills, Melisa strives to create a supportive environment where young individuals can explore and understand their emotions. Melisa’s experience as a behaviour practitioner for children with autism has enriched her skill set, providing her with unique insights and techniques that enhance her therapeutic practice.

Utilising a blend of counselling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Therapy, Melisa tailors each session to meet the specific needs of her clients. She is dedicated to fostering growth and resilience, empowering individuals to navigate their personal challenges effectively.

The practice of self-care is a fundamental aspect of Melisa’s philosophy, reflecting her belief that nurturing oneself is essential for emotional wellbeing. Melisa inspires and supports others on their journey towards greater self-understanding and emotional health.
