Erin Chan

Erin Chan

Registered Counsellor

Erin Chan is a compassionate Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling from Monash University. She is a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Erin specialises in working with couples, youths, and families facing relationship, communication, and behavioural challenges, many of whom come from neurodiverse backgrounds. She finds it especially fulfilling to help her clients enhance their self-esteem, self-motivation, and resilience while guiding them to discover meaning and purpose in life. A key focus of her work is supporting individuals and families in improving their relationships and dynamics, fostering greater connection, and understanding.

Erin brings a unique perspective to her counselling practice, particularly for clients navigating life stress and transitions. Her personal journey as a parent of three—including two university graduates and a teenager—further enriches her understanding of family dynamics and developmental stages.

Erin’s approach to counselling is empathetic and adaptable. She blends techniques from person-centered therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused practices to create tailored experiences for her clients. She has worked extensively with children and adolescents with neurodivergent backgrounds, empowering them to voice their needs and develop the skills to confidently overcome challenges, fostering their growth toward a more fulfilling life.

Outside her counselling practice, Erin enjoys yoga, brisk walking, reading, listening to music, catching up with family, traveling, and much more. She deeply values self-care and compassion for oneself and others, guided by her Christian faith and values, which continue to inspire and shape her work.
