Registered Counsellor
Pei-Tzu (Karina) Lee is a Registered Counsellor and Registered Art Therapist who works with children, young people and families in a warm, supportive and child-centred way. With a background in counselling and Art Therapy, Pei-Tzu is passionate about helping children feel understood, supported and empowered to grow with confidence.
Karina has experience supporting children with emotional expression, regulation, confidence and social-emotional development. She has worked with children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including children experiencing family and emotional challenges, and has collaborated with case workers and multidisciplinary teams.
Karina’s approach is gentle, flexible and practical. She supports children through counselling, therapeutic conversation, play-based engagement, emotional regulation strategies and creative activities where appropriate. She believes creativity can provide an important way for children to express themselves when words are difficult, and may incorporate art or sensory-based materials, such as clay, paint or drawing, when these are helpful for the child.
Karina values building trusting relationships and creating a safe, playful and compassionate space where each child can explore their emotions, develop confidence and build practical skills for everyday life.
Karina holds a master’s degree in art therapy and a bachelor’s degree in applied Art. She is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and with ANZACATA as a Professional Art Therapist. She is bilingual in Mandarin and English.
